Christians, how do you explain this Biblical contradiction?

The two genealogies split at the two sons of David. In Matthew, Solomon. was the ancestor of Joseph, Mary's husband and in Luke, Nathan is the ancestor of Mary, who bore Jesus, God's only begotten Son.
