My Goldfish had swimbladder?

Around 11pm last night i noticed my goldfish swimming upside down in its tank, so i assumed it was dead, i went over and seen it was still moving its mouth, so i tapped the tank and it swam down, but then floated up, due to not knowing it had swim bladder, i thought he was just dying, and this was normal, but the ext morning he was the same, so i found it it was Swim bladder. So i went to the pet store to get some stuff, i came back and he now seems fine, is it normal for them to recover this fast? or is it something else that is wrong?
