What is the tone and theme of the song me and a gun by tori amos?

I don't know what you mean by tone necessarily, I mean its a very dark song. The theme is about sexual assault though, and overcoming it. Tori based it off of her own experience with rape. In the song she even contemplates suicide, but she "hasn't seen Barbados" so she decides to pull through for herself. So I guess a more general theme could be finding a reason to live, or seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Hope it helps in some way.
