Guitar string numbers?

I bought a pack of guitar strings, and it doesn't say E,A,D ext. like I'm used to. It just has numbers, 42,32,24,16,11,9. I would string the strings 6th string (large E) to 1st string (small E) going biggest to largest numbers right? 42 would be be E and 32 A, 24 D, 16 G, 11 B, 9 E?
